“I would lie back, take my mind elsewhere and just wait for it to be over.”

Little did I know that this repeated action would produce so much numbness and disconnect in my body.

When I left my first marriage I was committed to digging deep and healing all the layers of myself to ensure that I would love and value myself enough and attract a partner that would treat me the way I wanted to be treated.

I journeyed through all the love and light and as I dug deeper into the shadows I found Tantra. This was an edge for me. Growing up I witnessed my mother as a single, youthful and sexually vibrant woman, however, through society and ancestral patterning I still carried many deep layers of shame around my sexuality.

Many trainings and events later I realized that the shadows is where the gold is. In 2019 I qualified as a Somatic Sex Educator/Sexological Bodyworker which allows me to teach others about sex through the felt sense in the body.

Exploring my sexuality has helped me to:

  • communicate better
  • find a deeper connection to my body and my emotions
  • to name my desires and ask for them
  • increase the sensitivity in my pussy, gifting me vast and rich experiences that I had not had before.

I now realise the true meaning of consent and how to put healthy boundaries in place. All these things I now feel so blessed to teach others. To share the information that has changed my life so dramatically.

Around the same time that I left my first marriage I also left a 10 year career in Nursing, Midwifery and Child and Family Health Nursing. I had started studying Naturopathy and Nutritional Medicine around this time as an outlet from my government job.

Don’t get me wrong! I loved working with birthing women and new parents. However I was limited to the advice I could give in those positions.

There was far too much intervention and too many women experiencing trauma and wondering why their babies wouldn’t breastfeed well, were so unsettled and were experiencing so much postnatal depression.

“We were not made to birth in captivity.”

I have birthed 4 children of my own, 3 at home and 2 of those unassisted by a medical practitioner. My freebirths were a turning point for me. The power I reclaimed as a woman taking full responsibility for my birth and my baby. Trusting my body and my baby’s wisdom and deep trust in nature/the divine/the creator.

Through all of these lived experiences and my training and knowledge I find so much joy in assisting women to come into deeper connection with themselves.

To find that inner wisdom and ancestral guidance to support them when pregnant or birthing.

To find safety in their body to be able to communicate their needs and desires to those around them.

To find their NO and also to find the ability to fully receive the love and care and touch they desire.

Getting in touch with our primal and animal nature is vital when we are wanting to embrace our sexuality and also experience natural birth.
